For the first time, Brisbane Pride and Melt Festival celebrate side by side during the opening weekend of Melt Festival, creating a landmark day of Pride celebrations across the city.

Begin the day with Brisbane Pride’s iconic Rally & March, connect with community at Fair Day, then make your way to the riverfront for Melt Festival’s inaugural River Pride Parade before continuing the celebrations at the official Melt Opening Night Party hosted at Brisbane Powerhouse. Together, these events showcase the diversity, creativity and spirit of Brisbane’s LGBTIQA+ community, while celebrating the unique identity of each festival.

Since 1990, Brisbane’s Rally & March has grown from a powerful act of protest into a vibrant celebration of visibility, resilience and progress. Where megaphones meet glitter cannons, generations march together to honour the past, celebrate the present and continue the fight for equality.

BRISBANE PRIDE FAIR DAY

Where Community Shines Bright

For more than 30 years, Brisbane Pride Fair Day has brought the community together in a joyful celebration of diversity. Held in New Farm Park, this much-loved annual event is filled with live entertainment, community stalls, food, family-friendly activities and endless Pride, creating the perfect place to gather before the celebrations continue across the city.

Where the Rainbow Reaches the River
