The Stallion Squad
Cop all the feels as you encounter the Stallion Squad who are no longer content to just be the hottest asses on the Drag King Cabaret circuit. Determined to prove themselves more than eye candy, they decide to establish themselves as serious Shakespearean actors. Join York Lit (Jules Berry), Rocky V Liquor (Michelle Lamarca), Biron Bothways (Anne Pensalfini), Pan Teasetickle (Lucinda Shaw) and Swingin’ Dick (proud ally Jo Loth) as they take on famous roles from Shakespeare's canon.
Directed by Lucinda Shaw alongside directorial advisor Heidi Gledhill, this cabaret takes a kaleidoscopic dive into performative masculinity through the lens of iconic songs smashed up against Shakespeare with stupidity, spoof and sincerity.
Manspreading has never been this fun!

Lucinda Shaw
“ As her vocals cry out... [to] capture the sorrow, regret, and frustrations of those coming to terms with mortality, audience members know they are experiencing something wonderful.” - Meredith Walker, Blue Curtains (for the Cabaret show Songs of Compulsion)
York Lit (Jules Berry)
“York radiates joy, charm and cheekiness. It’s such a delight to see a king bringing elements of comedy, acting and live singing to their drag- he’s definitely one to watch!” - Lord Sev, Judge, Altimate.SHOWDOWN 2024 (York Lit - Finalist, judges' choice )
Michelle Lamarca
“When Michelle Lamarca as Fanny Brice sang “I’m the Greatest Star” at the beginning of this production of Funny Girl, a frisson of electricity went up my spine and raised the hairs on the back of my neck... Not only did she nail the songs, her portrayal of vaudeville comic Brice was rooted so deep into the character that it had incredible pathos, incredible warmth, and was endearingly funny.” - Peter Pine, Stage Whispers
Jo Loth
“This is cabaret in its most intimate form, as Loth delves into the most delicate aspects of the human psyche... Loth is an incredibly skilled and committed performer, swapping between personas at a moment’s notice and bringing each character to life with rich physicality and a distinctive vocal quality.” - Bradley Storer, Theatrepress (for the Cabaret show Mind Games)
Anne Pensalfini
“Claudia, Frank’s wife, represents the reality that is doomed by Romy’s emergence from her husband’s past... Anne Pensalfini gives her a credibility that is all the more effective because, though her character is an innocent victim, she never plays for audience sympathy, making Claudia’s fate all the more shocking.” - Stage Diary (for The Woman Before at Queensland Theatre)
