Slow Dance

An event that brings both dance and portraiture out of the theatre houses and galleries and onto the street. Two short films, projected onto a building in the city for a special outdoor public event, acting as intimate moving portraits of two queer dancer couples. A blend of dance film and depiction of queer love, braking the hetro-normative tradition of partner dances. Off the back of a successful string of accolades and international screenings for their queer dancefilm “All the colours” , The Samaya Wives set out to invite the public at large to evolve their perspectives and challenge their preconceptions of what love can and does look like.
