No Shoe No Show
In Smashville, there is only room enough for one mighty She-riff. A Queer scene so small, it makes Brisbane seem like a metropolis. Dusty and dried up, everyone has already done it with someone’s dad, dog breeder, and dealer. That is until fresh meat blows into town...Siblings act that is (between them) totally a triple threat. This show is silly, satirical and downright dirty. Contains multiple personalities and puppets with a drag king lead. A commentary on toxic masculinity, current Queer culture in Brisbane and the artist’s experience of growing up in suburban Canberra in the early 2000s.
Doors open 6:00pm for a 6:30pm start.
This project is supported by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland.
