We sat down with New York contemporary Artist Spencer Tunick to get his top tips for Brisbane ahead of his monumental installation of mass nude bodies on the Story Bridge for Melt.

Favourite restaurant and why?

Ginga – Fortitude Valley. A robot with a cat face served us sushi which was quite unique…a first.

Favourite place for coffee?

I was working so hard on the upcoming Melt Festival project, I did not venture far from my hotel. But I did enjoy the close by Colin’s for my afternoon jolt
of coffee. Any place with multiple colored pillows is someplace I want to relax in.

Best place for shopping and why?

SWOP vintage shop is where I got a silver snake patterned jumpsuit for my wife. And I picked up a few pair of sustainable sunglasses at Dresden Glasses.
I’m very supportive of environmentally-friendly businesses and products.

A man with short gray hair and a black shirt is using a DSLR camera to take photos. Positioned close to a concrete railing, he appears deep in concentration as the camera's display screen shows a preview of an outdoor scene. The background is blurred, hinting at his role as an ambassador for Melt Festival 2024.
A large group of naked people walking together towards a body of water, with a person in black clothing and holding a megaphone standing among them, creating a scene reminiscent of Spencer Tunick's installations. This captivating moment will be part of the Melt Festival 2024.
